Judith Prior

STOP PRESS – All new Youth Musical Rockin Robin

How could such a nice looking little lady from Bundaberg write so many 'naughty' shows?

Until they meet Judith they think she must be a bloke.

Since she started writing theatre restaurant pieces in 1989 - there's been no stopping her.

There are 40 productions on stage a year - and a thousand performances have been staged over the years in Australia alone.

Judith loves theatre restaurant. Exotic settings, lavish costumes and freedom to include music suitable to the available cast.

She draws on her 40 years in community theatre and many moments collecting jokes for her unique plays.

Testimonial From Great Lakes Amateur Dramatic Society:

"we have experienced 'sell out' performances with all of your plays staged by our group over the past eight years

In 1997 GLADS performed it's first Judith Prior play, 'The Phantom of the Music Hall', to packed houses.

In 1999 we took 'Jest at the West' and turned it into a travelling production, which we toured around the Great Lakes region. This concept proved very popular and riding on the wave of interest it generated we performed the sequel 'Jest Call Me Cowboy' in 2000.

And again we played to packed houses. And again we were encouraged to hold more plays. This we did the following year, once more performing The Phantom of the Music Hall.

In 2004 we performed Opportunity Knocks... and as with previous productions they were sell-out events.

You can see that GLADS has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with your plays and clearly the community of Great Lakes has enjoyed many wonderful evenings watching these productions. The prolific number of plays we have put on is testament to their popularity.

The most successful evenings have always been when the play has been performed in the convivial atmosphere of a dinner show and in smaller country towns such as Kranbach, these Judith Prior productions have been one of the highlights of the year and a vital fund-raiser for the community.

Thanks to your plays, Judith, GLADS has been able to raise its profile in the area, generate much needed funds and entertain literally thousands of people over the last eight years.

We wish to thank you for providing the means for us to achieve
